Need a New OB

Sadly, I have to switch obstetricians. Anyone who has talked to me about this pregnancy knows that I LOVE my current OB, but after my 24 week check-up tomorrow, I'll have to make the switch. As much has I hate to admit it, it just doesn't make sense anymore for me to have a doctor whose practice is in St. George, since I now live in Utah County.

So, I know many of you have birthed babies in Utah County. Anybody love their OB so much that they would recommend him/her?

I really liked Dr. E. William Parker. I was actually seeing the midwives in his practice (Mt. Timpanogos Women's Health Care in PG), but he ended up delivering Connor. He was really nice, and I have several friends who have seen him and love him too.

I'm with Liz. I saw Dr. Parker's midwives and LOVED them (if you're open to midwives - you should see them). Dr. Parker is great.

I go Dr. Watabe at Legacy OB in American Fork. He used to be at Mt. Timp Women's Center but he moved over. He's kind of a family friend so I'm a little partial. All their OB's at that clinic are fabulous though. The ones at Mt. Timp are good too though. Good luck!

Another vote for the midwives in AF. I really love them. They take so much more time for you than most doctors in Utah County. And they have zoloft! jk. But really they are great. What am i saing? You were there. You know. However, the one draw back is that, although Dr. Parker might be great, one of the other doctors that back up the midwives during complications is Dr. Saunders. Because this is a public forum, I will leave it at "I am not a fan." :)

Also, I have never had to wait in the waiting room or exam room for very long at all. that is a huge plus for me.

I think you should just have your baby in St George.

I loved loved LOVED Dr. Wolsey (Shep's dad), but he's on a mission :(. He wasn't in a group, I saw him every single visit, AND he delivered Anna. He's wonderful. I don't think there's anyone else like him in Utah County, and if I ever get pregnant again I don't know who I'll see either. Not a fan of the midwives after witnessing one of them in action at a friend's birth, but I'll leave it at that.

i LOVE my ob. she's not in utah county, but she's not too far. she's at the brand new ihc medical facility in murray. her name is dr. hebert and her number is (801) 507-1800. there's just something so great about a woman, and all the other doctors in her practice are women. i love her so much that i used to drive all the way up to downtown slc by lds hospital to see her. now, she's a little closer, which is nice, but it was totally worth the drive to go to an ob who felt like a friend.

good luck!

I had a wonderful doctor in Rexburg who I went to even after we moved from Rexburg to Pocatello because I liked him so much. His son graduated from medical school and they opened a practice in Payson. His name is Dr. Max Crouch. He had been delivering babies for 30 years. He is the greatest (in my opinion). Don't know if you want to deliver in Payson, but if I lived closer I would probably go to him again. Just a thought.

I still go to Dr. Glenn and love it--though I haven't been there since Noah was born. Didn't you go to him before? Anyways, very pleased with everything so far!
